SajjadAhmad - I believe the actual Kaplan question says that the sum of the lengths of unpaved roads is 3/4 the sum of the lengths of paved roads. As per your question, the answer would be zero mile. Could you please review the question and make necessary changes? Thanks :)

Solution
Given that the sum of the lengths of all the roads in county Z is 1,400 miles.
Let the sum of the lengths of paved roads = X
According to the question, the sum of the lengths of unpaved roads is 3/4 the sum of the lengths of paved roads.
So, the sum of the lengths of unpaved roads = (3/4)X

Sum of the lengths of all the roads = Sum of the lengths of paved roads + Sum of the lengths of unpaved roads
1400 = X + (3/4)X
Solving for X, we get X = 800
Therefore, Sum of the lengths of paved roads = 800 miles
And, Sum of the lengths of unpaved roads = 600 miles
Hence, the difference is 200 miles.

How many more miles of paved roads than unpaved are there in county Z?
Answer is 200 miles.

Hence, the correct answer is Option A. 200
