connect to the station.

2)True, the no. of average (arithmetic mean) number of riders in 2010 for those subway stations having 5 connecting lines: \(\frac{41,903,210+20,711,058}{2}\) = 3,13,07,134 and The no. of average (arithmetic mean) number of riders in 2010 having 3 connecting lines is \(\frac{26,892,243+24,265,016+19,147,021}{3}\)=2,34,34,760. Therefore, the ratio is \(\frac{31,707,134}{23,434,760}\) = 1.33529, which is approximately 4:3.
3)False, The station with the greatest percent increase in riders from 2009 to 2010 is Lexington Ave/59th Street with 3.3% but it doesn't have the least ridership, the subway station with the least ridership is 86 Street. (Green Lines) with 19,147,021 riders in 2010.
