For each of the following statements, select Yes if the statement is true based on the information given. Otherwise select No

Official Explanation (OE):

Recognize

RO1

Sorting the table by Horsepower shows that the model with the greatest horsepower, Chaffer, has more than 500 horsepower.

The correct answer is No.

RO2

Sorting the table by Weight shows there are 3 models that weigh more than 4,000 lb. One of these 3 models, Titan, does not have more than 400 horsepower.

The correct answer is No.

RO3

Sorting the table by Price shows that Tesco is the least expensive model. Now sort the table by Horsepower. Among the top 5 rows, the ratio HP/L is clearly least for the Tesco model. In continuing down the rows, the ratio HP/L for each of the remaining models can be determined to be greater than that for the Tesco model by one of the following two observations: (1) The other model has a greater (or not smaller) numerator and a smaller (or not greater) denominator. (2) From the Tesco model to the other model, the percent increase in the numerator is greater than the percent increase in the denominator.

The correct answer is Yes.

chetan2u Can you explain why answer of question no 3 is Yes?
Hi,

There is no reason for the answer to be yes under the given wordings and data.

It may be possible that 300 was meant to be something greater or 6.2 was meant to be something lower to get overall ratio greater than 310/5.7

in last question,

they have asked us for finding HP/Liter which they have not given explicitely.

we need to find that from table.so, once you find that, you will feel that Q3 is having YES as answer.

your values are wrong check the table

Oppenheimer1945
How can 3rd Ques be Yes?

Sorting by Price; Tesco is the least expensive with horsepower per liter of engine size.=310/5.7=54.38

Compare it with PTZ, HP=300, Engine size=6.2, HP/eng size=300/6.2=48.38

Hence No

Bunuel hope I'm making sense of class 3 arithmetic correct here.
