To make it fast, i took the difference between3 and 3.5 which is a difference of 0.5 stride rate which will result in a 2 difference of speed index (7-5). Then if
0.5 represents 2, then 0.8 (the difference between 3.8 and 3) will be (0.8*2)/0.5 which is equal to 3.2. Therefore the result is 5 +3.2 = 8.2. Note that we take the 5 because its from where we started and 3 stride rate.
Therefore option C is the answer
