Let's just say that X is equal to 10 so we will have that the number of hours will be 8, this is our target value. Now plug 10 in the answer choices to see which gives 8.

A is correct here.

Hope this helps
Cheers
J

Three of the answer options are something/60, which means minutes have been converted to hours. (1hour = 60 minutes)
So lets find out the minutes which have passed, and we can divide the answer by 60 to get the answer in hours.

Firstly, from 12 to 8.10 pm, no of minutes = 8*60 + 10 = 490 minutes
But 'x' minutes have already passed after 12. So net minutes passed = (490-x)

Converting it to hours = (490-x)/60

Hence answer is A
