I want to share my experience in GMAT. I am not that avid reader or writer when it comes to forums, but I really like reading interesting stuffs in all forums. So my first interaction in gmatclub started some 6 months back, when I planned to take Gmat in August.
So attended a prep course in Chennai, India and got a gmat score of 630(Q49V25). I should say I am good in Quants and really worse in English.
Prep stuff rotated around
MGMAT SC, CR and
MGMAT and GMAT Prep Tests
Immediately afterwards I decided to take the Gmat in October and got a same score 630(Q48V28). I worked hard on SC and improved my accuracy a lot, but still I couldnt improve as I faced timing probs in Verbal. Because of this solitary reason, I wanted to take the Gmat again.
Prep stuffs for second time were the first time stuffs(more thoroughly) and Princeton Review and
MGMAT and GMAT Prep Tests. Prep test results were 660s around and got a 720 once
Two months down the line, the day before(Dec 23) I took the test again and its amazing to find that I still havent improved

(Q47V30). This time I brought in CR Bible and
MGMAT RC into the scene. Prep Test results were consistent with 680's. But regardless of whatever the efforts were or whatever things I did I came back to Square One and now I am in a worse position than I were in October. This is because I skipped the Round 1 college Deadlines in November, because of my reasonable confidence that my efforts will bring my targets closer.
So my advice to everyone out there is regardless of whatever you think or do, don't ever go by instinct, if the exam is Gmat. It's a punishing and gruelling experience if you take it closer to your heart and approach it emotionally. Long hours and practicing more questions dont work here. I say this because if one consider GRE, the verbal section or 22 questions are form Vocab. So if one decides to really put in his/her efforts they can be atleast better of with more words in their heads in 6 months. So even if emotions come in, the memories wont fade away in GRE. But Gmat is full of surprises and if anybody do really want it and make a giant leap in scores, they have to change their approach drastically and think exactly in Gmat way. Unfortunately, I couldnt do it and I just want to say this across to retakers. Think many times before retaking the exam! Only if you are superconfident of improvement, go for it! I am not ready for a 4th time and maybe I can admit that I am afraid
All the Best to everyone out there!
