Hi,
I have only taken GMAT once back in 2010 when I scored 550 (Q:42 & V:24) with 2 months of solid self study. That score didn't get me into any of the schools I wanted. Instead of retaking GMAT at that time, I got sidelined with other things. I am now seriously thinking of retaking GMAT and have two questions:
1. The schools I want to apply require anything between 650 to 700. Is it possible to improve more than 100 points if I give enough time (4 to 5 months)?
2. Should I start fresh with new books/material or start with my old notes/material and get to a point where I left off last time (get around 550 first) and then starting looking at the new material, making error logs, maybe also join some classes, etc?
Thanks.
It has been 5 years since you gave your GMAT. I will suggest you to start afresh with new materials and consider yourself preparing for the 1st time. It is good that you know what score or score range will get you into your desired school. 100 points from 550 can be achieved with proper skills and tactics. GMAT can be defeated with proper application of the fundamentals. Start by reviewing this discussion:
