Hi techguy,

There have been some subtle adjustments to the GMAT since you last took it (and one BIG change - the Issue Essay has been replaced by the Integrated Reasoning section), so working with updated materials is the right move. In answer to your initial question though: YES, with 4-5 months of consistent study, I think that you would likely have a good chance at a 650+ score (assuming that you put in the proper effort and work with the proper resources).

Since there's a question about how much you may have retained from your prior studies, it would be a good idea for you to take a FULL-LENGTH CAT. You can download 2 for free from www.mba.com; a FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so you should make sure to set aside enough time to do so in one sitting. Once you have that first set of scores, you should report back here and we can talk through your options.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Thanks for all the comments. I'll start with the full length test to evaluate my current situation.
