Is FANBOYS not required to join 2 clauses in the correct answer choice D.
Why not to consider these 2 clauses independent?

Kindly help me clear the concept gap.

Hi.

Theres only one clause here."thirty years.......played" is a modifier.

E slightly changes the meaning.Hence it is incorrect.

As per my understanding- Combination of sub+verb makes a clause.

Here "thirty years" is a subject and "was played" is a verb.

Ok.There could be some argument to make here that the modifier is dependent.Dependent clauses can be connected to independent by a comma.

The statement "thirty years after the first one day international game was played" is not independent because it does'nt make sense when it stands alone.

Hope it helped.
