I was new to the GMAT when I started my preparation in Aug 2019 after taking a free mock test from
Magoosh, scored a dismal 530(Q41V22). During my preparation I practiced a lot of questions (1800 on Gmatclub itself), took a great number of mock tests from GMAC(inflated score), Gmatclub(most logical quant), Manhattan(gruesome quant) and Veritas(closest score). I attempted the first GMAT on Dec 4th, scored a 680(Q49 V33 IR1) and because of some uncertainty about the significance of that IR 1 score, reattempted on Dec 21st, scored exact same 680 but was able to raise the IR to 5
I applied to 3 schools based in Canada namely Molson(Concordia), HEC Montreal and Alberta School of Business, and have received admit from all three
So, I just want to express my deepest gratitude to some of the people here:
1. Charles
GMATNinja for the very helpful videos on SC/CR [In one of his videos he gave a priceless advice that the only time management we need in GMAT is to think whether we are going anywhere with a question or not? If yes we can afford to spend a few more seconds, else it's better to mark and move forward]
2. Karishma
VeritasKarishma for the blogs on quant and the fact that she conducts one of the very best askmeanythingabout threads.
3. Mike
mikemcgarry for
Magoosh as it's the best app to kickstart your GMAT prep from scratch and also for so many great clarifications on answer choices here.
4. Bunuel
Bunuel In the last phase of my quant preparation I used to solve only the questions posted by him daily.
5. CJ
ChiranjeevSingh for creating that awesome website having links to 4000 official verbal questions
5. Last, the very many not so known people and users of this community who post interpretations/rationales behind answer choices which ultimately help one understand them.
Thank you all very much.
Regards
