Tom and Jack are in a line to purchase iphones. How many people are in the line?

(1) There are 20 people behind Tom and 20 people in front of Jack.

(2) There are 5 people between Tom and Jack.

My thought is since there are 20 people behind Tom and 20 people infront of Jack, so there are 19 people between Tom and Jack.

(2) I think it is correct. Because total people would be 7.

(1) There are 20 people behind Tom and 20 people in front of Jack.

20 T J 20
Total = 42

20 T 1 J 20
Total = 43

2) There are 5 people between Tom and Jack.

T 5 J
Total = 7
20 T 5 J
Total = 27
Not sufficient.

Together, 20 T 5 J 20
Total = 47
14 J 5 T 14
Total = 35
