I am also surpised considering the significant increase in b-school applicants this year. It is extremely interesting when you consider the the strong correlation between the relative strength of the economy and business school matriculation.

What do you exactly mean? I think the general rule is bad economy = more applications, so a significant increase in applications this year should really come as no surprise..

just got my first ding from Arizona State (via online system).

really disappointed - but 5 applications remain. i will hold out hope for success at another school.
