from what i've read, alot of the emphasis depends on your background. so if you worked in IT or engineering, b-schools will look to your verbal score to make sure you will be able to communicate effectively in the classroom and the workplace. however, ive also read that schools like MIT really put a focus on the quant score, so maybe that should be high on your list as well.

Thanks this is a good thought. I have a quant background in high school but graduated from a business school and working in an environment that much depends on communication. But not english

You are an international applicant, so it is "natural" for you to be waker in the Verbal part - you are disadvantaged compared to the US applicant - that will also be taken into consideration. You are not a grammar buff but rather a manager and a leader. There is a limit to GMAT's ability to evaluate your potential for leadership.

No. I also did gmatprep tests 2 times, 2 of 800score.com's test and 2 powerprep tests. The quant part of these tests and the question in the forum helped me.

How would you compare 800score.com VS gmatprep or powerprep ?Are they the good ones to take?

800score.com's quant is a bit harder than gmatpreps and verbal is a bit easier than gmatpreps. Thus the total result comes very like to gmatpreps.

Hi maliyeci… congrats on your score. I’ve noticed you were able to answer a lot of the harder questions on the quant forums so I’m not surprised how good your quant score is.

I think you’ll find that a lot of people would be over the moon with your results. From what I’ve read there isn’t a lot of emphasis put on your AWA score’s and they aren’t too bad anyway, not enough to retake.
Congrats again and all the best with your B-school apps.
