The results are out for March:
Biggest gains are by PowerScore CR and Kaplan Verbal Workbook. Official Guide is the leader as usual. This month, the new OG 12 came out, so the references really shot up:

How does the ranking work?
Ranking is based on several variables such as number of times the books is mentioned on GMAT Club forums and also number of times users click on the book title to visit its description on Amazon. (many (not all) of the book titles are automatically linked to Amazon and these clicks determine the ultimate member interest).

P.S. Some of the fluctuation is attributed to the change in methodology as we started tracking member clicks.

Why isn't this a sticky?

If the list is going to be live and updated, this really should be stickied.

Thanks :)
Trying to keep the number of stickies low. Since it is updated on a monthly basis, figured it will keep being bumped up.

hi there,

I have The Official Guide for GMAT Review 8-10th Edition (not 12th :( )
is it OK for preparation to use OG 10 ?

Absolutely. Just make sure that you get a good overall Guidebook and/or any specific Math/Verbal book.

I have a total of 6 different comprehensive study books, this doesn't include books for the individual sections, and I found Cracking the GMAT the simplest to understand. It got right to the point and not only did they explain how to answer the question correctly they really put you in the mind set of taking the test. I found the Kaplan had a few more unique and smart strategies but Cracking was the only one that really broke down not only how to take the test but how to think about the test. I think while it is not the only book to have it is a must have.

Kudos!!! :thanks Thanx a lot dude.Just wanted to know if the total MGMAT set and OG set is good to cover a-z or you would recommend any combination from other publishers as there seem to be some cons with some books in each publisher. Thanks in advance for reply. :)

P.S.: Am i stuffing my shelf with buying the whole set?

it depends on your weaknesses - if you wanted to cover A to Z, then yes, 8 Manhattan Guides and OG is the right way to go.
There are actually all 8 of them bundled up here to save $$$: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/098417 ... 098417804X

Do we have a recent list? Thanks!
Dear David,
I'm happy to respond. :-)

I don't know that GC has updated this in a while, but in the meantime, here's a list of highly recommended resource:
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2013/best-gmat ... rces-2015/
and here's a slightly older blog that comments on many of the other, less recommended, sources:
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2013/gmat-book-reviews-2013/

I hope all this helps!
Mike :-)

Notes (For example: Gayatri's SC Notes, Spidey's SC Notes.... etc), and

Thanks - I agree and would like to expand, but it is too complicated at this time to keep track of such number of variables...
