(0.125)^2 =

A. 1/8
B. 1/12
C. 1/16
D. 1/32
E. 1/64

\(0.125 = \frac{1}{8}\)

So, \((0.125)^2 = ( \frac{1}{8} )^2\)

Or, \((0.125)^2 = \frac{1}{64}\)

Hence, answer will be (E) \(\frac{1}{64}\)

Hi,

Although we would generally know that 0.125=1/8..
But say we do not know the choices should get us to our answer..

We are looking for a square..
So the fraction too should be a square of a fraction..
ONLY 1/16 and 1/64 are square.

Let's see these two now..
\(\frac{1}{16}=\frac{(1}{4)}^2\)...
Now 1/4 is 0.25, but we are looking for 0.125, so 1/64 is the answer

We can convert 0.125 to a fraction.

0.125 = 125/1000 = 5/40 = 1/8

(1/8)^2 = 1/64
