I believe the correct answer isA (13). The question specified “a strip”. Home Depot sells 3 inch strips in lengths as long as 20 feet.
You need 5 feet for the top (4.5+.25+.25), 5 feet for the bottom, 1.4 feet on the right side and 1.4 feet on the left side. That sums to 12.8 which rounds up to 13. Thanks to your miter saw, you can make excellent square cuts. If you wanted 45° cuts, the question should’ve been more clear!
Please correct me where I am wrong.
