EligibilityTo be eligible for admission to the PhD program, applicants must meet one of the following conditions:- Completion of a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association; or
- Completion of an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing. Please see the minimum international education requirements.

Application Materials
EssaysStatement of PurposeWrite a brief essay on the following subjects concerning you and your intended field of study:
- your past work on relevant issues,
- what excites you most about the field,
- possible areas of research you might pursue,
- any research projects you have completed with a faculty member, and
- any other information you would like to provide to the admissions committee.

Short Answer Questions:- Please provide us with any additional information regarding your academic preparation for the Stanford GSB PhD Program. For example, there may be strengths or weaknesses in your academic background that your application may not indicate. (max 500 words)
- Please list the single major honor or award you have received, if any, that reflects most clearly on your potential for doctoral study. (max 200 words)
