Congragulations. Fantastic score(needless to say!)

Do you mean to say actual passages/questions in RC were closer to OG or to Rc99?
IndigoIntentions
Skipped RC99. I didn't agree with some answers. I did great on the OG passages and actual exam was close to their standard.

Awesome; looking at your profile and systematic debrief I would say you very well deserve this score (1500 GRE--no kidding !); well done and all the best for apps.

Congratulations! Looking back, did you find the exam to be in line with the GMAT PREP or a tad bit harder?

Thanks. It was exactly the same level - CRs were a tad harder.

Thanks! The passages in OG/Official Verbal Review/GMATPrep were close to the actual. RC99's first 10 or so passages dent your confidence and I don't recommend it. I did around 75 passages from it and that time could have been better spent tackling GMATPrep RC questions.

Yes, I always found the RC 99 passages a little strange and off as compared to OG or GMAT prep. I actually did 5-6 passages from the book and then stopped using it! I've done many passages from the OG though.

I advice you to take the GMATPrep tests for their score estimation value. Take it when you have reached a critical point in your preparation - could be 1month before the test or 15 days before. Preferably save it for the last month - give one exactly a month before (assuming you've covered all the individual sections from OG and other sources) and the other one, say 2 weeks before your test. I gave mine about 20 days before my test, since I wanted to register for the test only after a decent estimate of my score. I was getting about 660's on Kaplan's CATs and about 750 on the MGMAT CATs and I wanted to be sure that my 750s weren't a fluke.

Regarding OG11, I got one from https://www.thriftbooks.com/ but I have friends who have pdf copies of that book from some torrents. I am not sure of the legality of the pdfs.

Hope this helps.

Congratulations on such a great score!
For RCs,what strategy did you exactly use ? I mean did you use the method of making passage maps as suggested in Manhattan RC Guide ?

I used the conventional strategy of spending 2-3 minutes reading the passage and then moving on to the questions. I did not create maps and didn't take any notes.
It's also a good thing to see the length of the passage before you start reading. You can then adjust your reading speed accordingly.
