HCM invite here. It requires an additional interview.

So, we know of only one HCM applicant invited to interview out of the 10 or more listed in the first page. There are 60 spots, so taking into consideration an acceptance rate (of people interviewed) of 50% and a yield rate of 90%, around 135 HCM applicants should be interviewed.

Either those 134 others do not frequent this forum OR those applications somehow take longer to review. Any thoughts compadres?

How do you know there are 60 spots? I asked June Kinney (HCM admissions director) whether there was a quota and she said there wasn't...

True, 60 is not a fixed number but a rough estimate that I got from the info session in my city. From the Resume Books, there were 67 in 2010 and 76 in 2011 so maybe 70 is a better estimate. Regardless, they will probably interview around 150 or so HCM applicants (assuming the post-interview acceptance rate of ~50% holds true for this subset).

She said those dates on her blog on the HBS site. She is the HBS adcon, and has nothing to do with Wharton. People are just extrapolating the information to Wharton.

No interview invite here either.

So now the question is if the invites will trickle in every day (gives truth to the adage "every day is a brand new day") or if they'll come in large batches HBS-style. It sounds like history points towards the former.

seems like the interviews will come mostly in batches. post from above said likely 2 batches, 1 around the first day and 1 around the last day.

Let's hope the 2nd batch is larger than the first.

I got an invitation for interview today.

There are only two type of interview offered from the admission: On-Campus and Hub interview.

I am not sure i will be able to make it or not because Thailand will face the flooding problem soon in Bangkok and now our airport is risk to drown under the water T_T.

I'm curious about this too. I spend a lot of time in a very remote part of Norway for work and don't think I'll be able to make it to campus or one of their hub cities. HBS offers Skype interviews, doesn't seem like Wharton has a similar option.

Guys, given the number of interview slots still available at this hour (I think less than 5% have been filled up). I think they were serious about trickling out invitations. My guess is they will continue to send out a few invitations each day and that this was certainly not a mass wave. Just compare it to HBS, where interview slots go out in less than 10min. I think this is a different approach.

Also, I live in Asia. Any thoughts about whether to interview at the nearest hub or to fly to Philly? Is it worth it?

Guys, I have just registered for a Hub Interview. I was only the second person who had registered for the interview at that hub location. There are around 20 interview slots opened at that Hub Location. If I do the maths correctly, this means that only 10 percent of interview invites have been sent out and 90% of the invites are still remaining which is a huge chunk. So hang in there as many more will be invited for the interview :)

You probably shouldn't fly to Philly, there are many hubs in Asia right? I would save your vacation days and money for coming to admit weekend if/when you get in :)

Do we know if they are doing the same interview format as last year? Picking 3 out of that list of 6 behavioral questions? I feel like it would be insane for them to repeat that after all the controversy last year. But who knows...

Also, to those who are still waiting to hear about an interview invite: when I booked my interview slot, there were tons and tons and tons and TONS of open interview slots still open. If a large proportion of interview invites went out today I think more of those would have already been filled. So I'm pretty sure there's no reason to panic just yet!

Dubai November 27 - 28
Tokyo November 18.

Interviews will be held in Beijing, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Delhi and Seoul. I am unable to provide the date for these hub cities because I don't remember the dates. As I have already registered I can not go back and review the time and location of the interview in these hub cities. Hope it helps.
