You must be disapointed but it's not over! What is yours is waiting!
When did you go complete?
went complete last Monday, Nov 28th.
does anyone know what's the percentage they convert deferred students @ CBS? 1%? 2%?

No, it's much more than that (I would say 20% -25%). Actually the deferal isn't such a bad thing, it just means they want to compare you to a bigger pool of applicants. If you keep standing out they will accept you. Keep faith!
I was on a long flight today, and when I arrived I had a voicemail from an unknown number (the first since I went "complete") and... my dear old aunt calling for the holidays.
Then I checked my email, and deferred until February
I'm seeing lots of people who went complete in the November timeframe who have heard something (whether it be deferred, interview invite, etc.)
What does it mean if I went complete in mid-October and haven't heard anything? Is that a good or bad sign, or neither (e.g. they just didn't get to it yet)?
I just got deferred as well. Applied Oct 5th. Interview Nov 16th. Deferred Dec 7th.
I was wondering what does deferred mean? Adcom said they will give the final decision by Feb 1st. I see a lot of people being deferred here who applied late for ED.
Was just invited to interview (regular decision). Applied regular decision in early October.

Can you share how early in October? I applied RD first week of Oct, so trying to get a sense of where they stand with the pile... Good luck with the interview!

Hi Apoko,
Thanks for your note. I went back to my online profile and saw that I submitted at the very end of September (I incorrectly thought it was October). Hope this helps.
here it is... defered, so sad. Reading carefully the notification it really feels like a waitlist decision. First you need to log in the system and it appears below : Decision status Second because in the message they make a strong point on "review your application and determine if there are ways in which it could be strengthened"
In my case I know I should improve my GMAT, but I work like 80 hours a week so it's complicated...

Sorry to hear that, but many of us are here with you. I think as adcom started reviewing regular round applicants, they want to compare us with them. Hopefully at least some of us could survive from this deferral.
