when getting the call from adcom, is it a woman or man calling? I've gotten 2 unknown calls from a random guy but the connection was very bad and he gets dropped before we can talk......and since it's from an unknown number, I cannot call him back....this is killing me

I don't think there is one particular person designated to call for acceptances. Rather it is someone from the admissions office who was closely associated with your application's review. Btw, it showed up as unknown number when I got the call.

Everyone, Long time lurker on this forum. All the constant updates gave me something to do during the excruciatingly long wait after the interview. Finally got the call today!! Am posting my timeline here: Submitted: 10/04 Under Review: 10/11 Interview Invite: 10/17 Interview: 11/08 Complete: 11/15 Admitted!: 12/06 The wait was long and painful. Don't lose hope, guys! MS

Congratulations!! I am an ED applicant still waiting to hear back - my application went complete on the 17th November...although the longer I wait the more likely I feel it is that I will be either dinged or deferred!!! Also, because of the time difference - I live in Australia - I really only have a couple of hours window each morning in which I think I will be called...which I suppose is a good thing since I don't stress the rest of the day. I am guessing they do not call people after 5-6pm NY time?
