my interview is on 8th (telephonic - after waiver)....would like to speak with a few current students/alums....any kellogg folks around?

Since you have a telephonic interview scheduled, you will eventually speak with a current student/adcom :P

I am neither a current student nor an alum, but I can try to answer your questions if you like.

thanks...will pm you...btw...does anyone have any ratio on what percentage of students are admitted among those who are 'invited after a waiver'.?

I am a re-applicant this year and had previously applied in 2009. I remember at least 2 folks getting in even though their interview was waived completely. Don't worry! Waiver or not, you will have an equal chance. I asked my interviewer this year and she said: "Interview reports are usually consulted if the adcom don't get a clear picture of the candidate from the other application components. It does not have a fixed weightage". Interview is also a part of the entire application, that's all. Just relax and make sure you know your resume really well.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm a waitlisted applicant from last year. Submitted R1 this year.

I received feedback though. Ad Com was concerned about my fit and wanted me to address it in my update letter.

Not sure if there's a reapplicant thread. Haven't seen it!

Need some advise from re-applicants.
I was waitlisted last year with no specific feedback. Anyone in the same boat? I am aiming for R2. If there is a separate thread for Kellogg re-applicants, please let me know.

What is everyone's app saying? Mine just says "Submitted" for both Parts 1 and 2.
Also, although I am a Rd 1 applicant, I realized I haven't sent them my official GMAT score!!! I did scan my report on my application. Now I don't know what to do!

Firstly, you should quickly send an additional score report to Kellogg. Hope you know how that is done. Next, you can request the adcom to issue a "conditional" offer based on the unofficial documents. I know a couple of other universities doing that. Send an email to them right away.

@SR85 A quick question: is it required to send them an official copy of GMAT for admission evaluation? I remember official GMAT is only required after they offer the admission.

Thanks,

Kellogg doesn't require an "official" score report sent from GMAC for application. If you are admitted, they will have you send the official score report at a later time.

Yes! An official GMAT score is very important for any university to complete its application process. However, in case of exceptions they might give a conditional offer. But, it's best if you could request them to consider your application and tell them that you have made the payment and have requested for an additional score report for Kellogg (and please do so :)).

Not sure if this is true. I would still suggest to get it confirmed by sending a simple email (it's free :)) to someone from the adcom.

If you submitted for R1 and something is missing they would have sent you an e-mail saying X or Y is missing. Give you a date to get the missing items in and then review your package for R1. If you did not receive the e-mail, it is safe to assume your unofficial scores are fine for admission. With that being said, I would drop a line to admissions and kindly ask them. Just say you were checking your app status online and notice they had not yet received your official score. If it is necessary for an admission decision to be made, or if you should just wait until you hear back to submit an official score.

Good Luck to Everyone! Less then 2 weeks to go!

Wow, good luck! Very resilient of you! I'm on my 2nd year and I'm already running out of steam.

Anyhow.

All waitlisted candidates were assigned to a waitlist manager. We could call and get feedback.

International. Reapplicant. Aiming for R2. How much more is the competition in R2 as compared to R1 at Kellogg?

Thanks!

Good luck everyone! I'm a little surprised calls haven't started yet, but there is a new admissions director so things may be different.

Well...not sure if anyone can answer this question accurately, but I feel re-applicants might be targeting R1 - just to increase their chances this year. At least I thought like that :)

Hi! You must have joined Kellogg in 2010, right? Can you please share your profile at the time of joining Kellogg? Work Ex, Industry, Function, etc. Just interested in your profile, that's all :)
