Did anyone else got an invite? I got one this morning...have not been following this thread for quite sometime....can someone throw light on how many have been invited and what is the conversion ratio?

Hey, I was interviewed yesterday and it went quite well. It was a blind interview and the questions were the usual as on the the clearadmit wiki. However, the questions were not asked straightforward but mixed with conversation. The interviewer was very engaging and seemed genuinely interested in knowing about me. This conformed with my impression about Kellogg that they really care about their students. Also, it felt more like a genuine conversation than an interview.

Overall I would say - just be confident and go in knowing your talking points well.

Best of luck!

Folks can someone help me out with this... I'm looking to apply to Kellogg R2. I want to interview ON-CAMPUS so does that mean I have until Jan 10, 2012 to submit BOTH my Part 1 and Part 2 applications?

Thanks for your help, and good luck all!

Did you guys find yourself repeating some things in your essays? I seem to be discussing clubs and potential contributions in three different essays which I think makes them redundant. Is this what they are looking for?

Yes. You can submit Part 1 earlier and still interview on campus. You choose which option you want in the application.

While I wouldn't use the same stories in each essay, I did repeat a couple of the clubs I wanted to join in both essays 2 and 3. However, I spoke about them from different perspectives. In essay 2 I mentioned the Business Leadership Club and what I hoped to gain from participating in it. In essay 3 I talked about the BLC again but elaborated on what I planned to contribute to the club. Hope this helps.

Yikes! It's seems possible that calls could come out next week. I was looking at last year's thread, and acceptances started on December 8th. The decision notification date was December 20th.

Had my interview on campus yesterday and it was pretty standard based on what has already been reported on this thread. At the end, I was speaking with the adcom and Today was the last day to interview for R1.

I am guessing now that all applications are officially under review for R1, calls would start to come out on Monday. They can admit the candidates that are 100% in and then start trickling in the ones that are still under review or just go under review over the next 2 weeks. This will also allow them to evaluate the maybes and determine if they move to admit, waitlist, or deny. Again just my guess, but calls starting to come out on Monday seem likely.

Hi Guys!

Just created an account on this forum to share my interview experience. I was interviewed on 26/11. This was an OFF-CAMPUS Alumni Interview.

The questions (Not in order):

1. Walk me through your resume.
2. Share the organizational structure within which I operate
3. Share a few challenging professional experiences. How I navigated through the situation? What I did in those situations? What interpersonal skills I demonstrated during those moments? What results I generated?
4. What one thing have I learned from my different professional experiences?
5. What do you find most challenging or difficult about your job?
6. What do you love about consulting?
7. Why MBA and why now? Why Kellogg?
8. What will you bring to Kellogg?
9. Which other schools have you applied to? If you got into all of them, how would you choose which one to attend?
10. What has been your most significant leadership experience?
11. What is your leadership style?
12. What do you struggle with while managing people?
13. Difference between leader and manager
14. How did you handle a challenging situation in your team?
15. What kind of teammate is hard to work with? Give an instance.
16. Short term/Long term goals
17. How did you deal with pressure from your boss. What did you do to sort things out?
.
.
A few more, but mostly related to what I have mentioned above. My interview lasted about 1 hour and 20 mins.

My Suggestions:
1) Don't fake anything
2) Know what you have done in your personal/professional life
3) Be prepared to talk, talk and talk.

Yeah, been thinking the same.

With 2 weeks to go until the official deadline, I'm trying not to get my hopes up. No need for additional anxiety at this point. I won't start worrying until I hear someone confirm that they've received a call.

We have zero evidence that the adcom is starting to call people today.

I agree, If it's anything like last year, it may start on wednesday, but I wouldn't truly expect anything until next week.

My interviewer (a Senior Admissions Director) told me that the Dean wanted to dole the invites out a little closer together than in the past. She said that while their admissions is "semi-rolling" they wanted to cut down on the amount of time between the first and last invites. She didn't give specifics, nor did I ask. from what I gathered, I feel like she was hinting towards a week long"ish" period vice two weeks. I don't think we should be holding our breath this week...although, you never know.
