GMAT clubbers, wondering if there is any type of filter for scholarships, ie. minumum GMAT of 700, minumum GPA of 3.5. Or are scholarships highly dependent on your essays, volunteer, and community impact statements?
Looking to apply for this fall first rounds for schools, and currently have 4 years of work experience in various corporate roles at the same company (finance, business development, strategy, supplier management), 3.9 GPA, and 670 GMAT.
Does that meet scholarship minumums or should I take the GMAT again to be more competitive.

Most schools I know of don't have hard rules regarding who they award scholarships to. They want flexibility I'm sure.
That said, I do think most schools tend to award money based on GMAT score. Again everything depends on the rest of your application and the individual schools. A 670 GMAT generally will not result in scholarship offers, regardless of your GPA.

Scholarship offers are going to be highly dependent upon the school and your profile. While scholarships are "merit based" there is no formula for receiving one. From my experiences and observations schools award scholarships/fellowships to the candidates that they most want to matriculate. They could want these people for a number of reasons including: high GMAT, unique work experience, unique career goals, under represented demographic, etc.
I received scholarship offers from 2 schools even though I have a low GPA. They are merit scholarships/fellowships and I think they are primarily based on my career goals, volunteer experiences, and my demographic pool.
If you want to make yourself more competitive for scholarships then I think you should retake the GMAT. However, I would not say that a higher GMAT score will guarantee you an award any more than your current score. I know many people who received fellowships/scholarships with under a 700 GMAT score.
