Haha. Always a little scary when someone injects tiny bits of hope. Everyone gets a just slightly excited ("Maybe it'll be me...") but the fact is that after single invite goes out, ~85% of people will never get one, including some very qualified people. The way I see it (I'll play the pessimist), my odds may not be zero at this point, but they're pretty damn close; whether it's 2% or even twice that (4%!) changes little.

PS....looks like no love for people with 750 gmats in terms of interviews for the gmat club....I thought a 750 was err good? guess not.

gmat is pretty irrelevant when it comes to the top schools as long as you're above 700. i doubt they accept or reject anyone by making a distinction between 710 or 780.

Hey you guys, I've been reading the posts here for a few weeks. They're both comforting and angst-inciting (and sometimes I have to go cold turkey for a few days to avoid heart palpitations). I had given up on GSB after Nov. 19. But when I checked my email this morning, I found an interview invitation sent around 3:30pm PST yesterday. I'm so grateful and thrilled to be interviewing. I hope the theory about a GSB admissions backlog was true and that some of you get pleasantly surprised in the next few days as well.

I am a 25-year-old American female, live in Europe, have a background in management consulting but now work for an NGO.

Thanks for all of your posts -- this is a hard process to go through and I really appreciate the insight and comments that people write on the forum.
