I'm in California (SF). Almost had a heart attack. No call. Checked status online around 8:50 am and got the admit letter. Then got a call at 9:02 am PST from area code 610. Good luck to all! This process is grueling.

Where did you find the scholarship information? Assume if it's not in the welcome letter, then I've got nothing?

I never got a call this morning, came back from a meeting just now and saw a super-generic "status update" email from Wharton Admissions. Logged in expecting the worst... and saw I was admitted after all -- with fellowship, too!!

Congrats to everyone else who also got good news!! :)

Mine was in the letter, 2nd paragraph: "I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected to receive a [Dollar Amount & Name] Fellowship, to be distributed over your two years at Wharton." HTH!

FROM Wharton Admissions Blog: It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This morning, the Admissions Committee and our student Welcome Committee had probably the best task one can have in Admissions – calling and congratulating the new members of Wharton’s Class of 2016! December 17th has been one of the most exciting – and I’ll say it, crazy busy – days of the year in MBA Admissions. It has been a blast for me to be part of the selection process for the first time this year. It is a rigorous process that involves the full force of the Admissions staff to review, meet, and discuss every candidate. But all the work, late nights, travel to all corners of the globe, and meetings are worth it and I am thrilled to be welcoming the newest members of the Wharton community.

The Committee and I were all blown away by the thoughtfulness, enthusiasm, and unique points of view expressed in each application. Thank you for making this such a great experience – I was psyched to read every application and can’t wait continue working with all of you when you get to campus. We look forward to seeing you in Philly in January for Welcome Weekend!

The Welcome Committee video gives me goose bumps every time!

And while giving out good news is fun, we can’t ignore the fact that this day comes with bad news for some – it is unfortunate that we cannot accept every outstanding candidate that we met this round. We sincerely appreciate the time, effort, and energy that each candidate put into the application process and it was a pleasure to get to know each of you. That said, please keep in mind that we have many successful reapplicants admitted to the program each year, so if this is the place that you want to be, do not give up.

Congratulations again to the Class of 2016 Round 1 admitted students! On behalf of the entire MBA Admissions & Financial Aid team, we would like to wish you a safe and happy holiday season and we look forward to seeing our next round of applicants in the New Year!

Regards,

Maryellen Reilly Lamb

Deputy Vice Dean, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Career Management

Is anyone on here a Round 1 JD/MBA applicant? I got waitlisted from Wharton and I haven't heard anything from the law school. I'm hoping at this point that they're just waiting for the Round 2 JD/MBA applicants to apply since it's such a small class size.
