Got 1:17 invite today (well, 12:17 Central Time zone, where I live.) Only just now signed up for a slot, and there were only a couple remaining for next week, but I bet there will be more interviews in the first week or two of March. Good luck to everyone!

My optional essay was accessed a week ago, but wasn't viewed.. youtube showed 0 Minutes watched. Do that means that a ding is comming? Anyone had a similar situation?

It's easier for me to be positive when it isn't my case, but I don't think that means anything. It may be that one of your reviewers was checking to see if the link worked, or that they went to the page to bookmark it for later. I think this is a very fluid process and we don't really know what's happening behind the scenes. It's understandable to think that your video not being watched is a bad thing, but it may also be that you are in a pile of applications that are going to be interviewed and they'll look at your video if your interview is inconclusive. There are just so many reasons for the video not being viewed that are neutral/inconclusive that I'd encourage you not to focus on it.

If you haven't worked on interview prep, do that. Or try to occupy your time with something else. Take up a new hobby, spend more time with friends/family/significant other, etc. I took up swimming 3x/week in January once I submitted, and it's been a great distraction. At least when I'm in the pool I can't think about anything else, so that's a few hours a week of solace that I get while I wait. I'm not telling you what to do, but finding whatever it is that can be healthy, positive, and take your mind off the minor details like whether it's bad that your optional essay wasn't watched means anything for your chances at Sloan. There are still 8 days of invites left to come out. If you look at Page 1 of this thread, very few candidates have been invited to interview, and if the R1 numbers hold up at all, there are many more invites to come. Hang in there!

Given that adcoms will be going to select cities in different continents to conduct interviews, will those applicants who listed that they want to interview off-campus get invites later, i.e. once they are done sorting through US-based applicants?

Did they ask preference for off-campus or on-campus interview in the appliction? I have not seen any question regarding the place of interview.

I can't find it either now. Maybe I am remember some other school's portal haha. But I am certain that Sloan adcoms will be traveling overseas to conduct interviews. So does anyone know whether geography will play any role in interview invites? Normally I would say not but for Sloan maybe it does?

Doesn't seem like. Based on looking at R1 stats from page 1 of this thread, there are a LOT more invites to come for Sloan. If the proportion holds, we can expect roughly 58 R2 applicants to receive interview offers. Since only 6 have reported getting interviews so far, it looks like the bulk of R2 invites from Sloan have yet to come out. Considering they have until next Friday (2/28) to send them, it's not a surprise that they are trickling out.

Also, today is only the third day of invites going out, and since there has been terrible weather in Boston, it's not so unusual they may be running behind. Boston got around six inches of snow last night, and that can delay transit for workers. Sometimes, people stay home from work in that area when the weather is bad; my girlfriend's family is from there, and her dad (they live about 30 mins outside of the city) has worked from home for quite a few days recently because it's been really tough to get around in serious snow/crazy cold. Just another FYI/data point to help you get a sense of what may be happening.

But yes, no invites today from this forum it seems.
