Hi Ankit,

Firstly, if the front of your class had a 8.7, you definitely don't have an adjusted 2.2. The program lied to you - so that's good news :)

On one hand, you have work experience that isn't standard - not many applicants find themselves in mines, after all. But you're young, which might work against you. This isn't because you aren't old enough, but because you haven't had the years to get some really great, wow-ing experiences under your belt.

A GMAT (and a great one at that!) is only part of the puzzle. The rest of it comes down to what you bring to the class itself. With your background, you definitely have a lot of potential but it comes down to if you have realized it or not. If you're set on applying this year, I would suggest significantly diversifying your portfolio of schools you're applying to. If you're just asking, that's another situation altogether.

I agree with Bhavik in that your GPA is probably much better. Do you know your batch rank? If so, include that as well. I also agree with Bhavik that you need to diversify your schools. What do you wish to do post-MBA?
