Hi Guys/Gals, I accepted my offer today as well. I cant wait to meet and greet everyone. I am the crazy one that is going to be flying in from Dallas every weekend. Somebody said that after you are admitted you get a ton of emails from Cal. I haven't gotten much. How about you guys?

You're not going to be alone. There's another guy from my cohort that flies in from Dallas every week. I can get you two in contact if you want to meet or get the inside scoop from him.

Congrats everyone! I'm really excited to be joining and meeting everyone in the fall. Does anyone know what the textbook situation will be like? I am planning to commute initially and am wondering if all the books are online of if I'll actually need to lug around my textbooks to the airport and to class.

I've heard most everything will be available digitally, although there are some books that most likely aren't. So, you won't have all of them on an ipad.

That said, I rarely ever need to have a physical book with me in class. They generally stay at home and you use the slides in class. At most you'll have some articles and cases to bring with you.

Hi everyone,

Congrats! Couldn't make it to the welcome reception but excited to see you all in person in June hopefully!

I also had a quick question for some of you here:
i) Do we know when the scholarships announcement go out? Specifically, Merit scholarship? I called the admissions office and they dont' think those have gone out yet but those were supposed to go out with Admission offer? Has anyone else heard anything on that front?

ii) Also, are there a lot of folks here from healthcare/medtech/biotech industry here?

Hey All,

I just got the admission call an hour ago (applied in R4) and am pretty thrilled about the offer! Will have to make the long distance commute from Houston, TX! I am yet to figure out if my employer will support part of the tuition/travel costs. Anyone have any experience on this front? Any tips?
