NYU is down from 10 to 11 :(
Yeah, it's slipping further and further down all major rankings :cry: What's next?.. Are Bloomberg BusinessWeek and Forbes right, is Stern really a Top 30 program, not a Top 10 (or maybe 15) one?..

I wouldn't sweat it. BusinessWeek's ranking is bizarre, Forbes punishes expensive programs and the difference between 10 and 11 is really, really small.

If BusinessWeek relies heavily (45%) on student surveys, I don't get it why Stern grads wouldn't give only extremely positive reviews - after all, these rankings, however bizarre they might seem to some of us, determine the perceived value of MBA on their resumes.

I haven't heard back (after the Application Status page details) either. Applied 1/15.

Do they usually wait until the end of the decision deadline to let dings know they've been dinged? :?

I keep on saying this but I think its worth repeating. I applied November 25th and only was invited to interview on March 3rd. I really dont know what their process is but do not lose hope. It is not a NO until you actually get that e-mail that says so :o :-D

For all of you who haven't heard about interviews- hang tight. "Clear admits" get responses pretty quickly. I think I was in the "maybe" bucket, as I applied the last day for Round 2 in mid-November, and wasn't invited to interview until February! All the candidates I met during my visit were Round 3. Anyway, even if you don't get a quicker response, stay hopeful.

Interviewed 2 weeks ago, haven't heard anything. I don't think it's a BAD sign- they said up to 3 weeks. If they wanted to reject you, you would've gotten the email :) Don't lose hope!

That said, when I went to schedule my interview, the earliest option in the scheduling was 4/7 - anybody know if there's a way to get something sooner? Assuming this means all interview slots before then are filled but wanted to double-check if there might be a different way to schedule or some flexibility there. This scares me as my first tuition deposit is due for some of the other schools I applied by late April so really don't want to still be waiting on a Stern decision then.

Regardless, happy to final get my invite! And for the rest of the R3'ers still waiting, this means there's still hope even though it's been almost two months since we applied :)

I interviewed 2/19 and they told me it can take 2-3 weeks to hear back. Today makes three weeks so hopefully I hear something.
