Have finally come about to do this.
My GMAT journey has chronicled over almost 1 year and three attempts.
1st attempt : 550(Q 34, V 31)
2nd attempt : 640(Q 42, V 32)
3rd attempt : 670(Q 48, V 34)
The major factors which helped to improve my score were :
1.
Magoosh : Unfortunately I came across
Magoosh only after my 1st attempt. I was hesitant on e-learning platforms but after having made considerable progress with
Magoosh, I can vouch for this format.
Magoosh helped me get my basics right and also honed my skills holistically. Mike's methods were easy to understand and the quizzes in between the modules helped to reinforce the concepts.
2. Official GMAT material : Due to the long duration of my study I purchased the OG 2015 and 2017, the Additional Pack of questions and exam packs. The OG CAT's are the best and most accurate predictors of the score in the actual GMAT.
3. Math revolution : The Variable approach of Math revolution is something unique and it complements your existing knowledge of the math basics. Math rev can still improve on their videos(which sometimes are out of sync with the instructor's voice)
Finally, there is no score which is out of reach if you choose to work for it. I confused my ability to perform well on the GMAT with the knowledge I had accrued over the years, while this is true to an extent, but there are also skills which can be learnt and mastered.
Hope this helps someone with their prep.
Best of Luck.
