Top 30 US Schools: Placements by Geographical Locations

Hello GMATClub,

Here is a table that shows placements of top US schools by geographical locations. The data shown in the table is taken from latest US News MBA Rankings.

As we can see for most schools, placements are tilted towards regions in which these schools are situated. e.g. Stanford is situated in west region and nearly 65% of Stanford graduates found employment in the same region; however, there are schools such as Booth or Fuqua that have relatively balanced placements.

For those who are looking to find employment outside of United States, Yale, HBS, or Chicago Booth could be good options. We can also see that every M7 school, except Columbia, has sent atleast 10% of its graduates outside of the US.

This data can be helpful in shortlisting schools to those who have stronger preference for a particular region for work post MBA.
