Hi everybody.
Few months back , I read through many posts in this topic to get ideas on how to get the magic 700+ score.
Never thought i will write one today.
I was very particular about the schools to which i wanted to apply.
I targeted MIT LGO, Michigan Ross, Kellogg MMM.
All these schools were at the top and I was skeptical with a 700 score ( I had a brilliant story - 6 years at Toyota, incl 2 years International experience at Bangkok )
So i decided to do the GMAT... AGAIN.
So let me put it out for you. One advice i will give to anybody is PRACTICE.
Over the course of last 2 months i did around 1000 problems across 700 800 level ( in quant and verbal - as described by the respective pdf owners )
Let me break section wise.
Quant :
I studied core concepts from Veritas textbooks. The concepts were good and has good collection of questions in each topic across PS and DS.
After veritias prep, I read through 700 800 quant questions pdf from gmatclub. Trust me if you can solve all the questions in that pdf, quant will be easy.
Later i practiced quant from Gmatclub tests ( filtered only 600 700 questions and completed every single one of them )
Verbal :
This is tough but can be done.
I enrolled in the E-GMAT verbal online course. The content was awesome. It gave a good foundation of the grammar and logic fundamentals.
This was what i needed and with this i tried solving problems from various pdf from gmatclub, gmatclub quizzes, and 700 800 questions pdf from gmat club.
The pdf's in gmatclub are all that you need to practice all the different questions types at different levels.
Additionally, in SC i learned manhattan guide, in CR i read through power score once ( tedious but worth the read ). RC i just understood how to answer. ( from EGMAT )
Mock tests:
GMATCLUB mocks are good. Pretty good collection of questions.
I enrolled for veritasprep 7 mock tests ( only for 10 $ - discounted rate ) .
My gmat mock scores were 710 710 720 700 720 710 710.
On the test day :
I totally chilled out. I thought to myself that this is not the end and just put my full concentration to each question.
I decided that this would be last GMAT Test and read each question for one last time.
It worked. As each question passed, the question got tougher ( adaptive logic ) and felt that i did good.
Quant was easy and I could complete in time.
In verbal last 2 questions i took a guess but i think i did a healthy guess work.
Key point is process of elimination. Eliminate wrong choice for a reason and never look back.
Anyways this is my story. ( not a good one either )
Thanks for various contributors in gmatclub and EGMAT course for paving a course to this score. Could not have done with it.
Finally, Never give up. Sometimes you may lose on first test or second or third. But if you feel you can, then do it. It will be awesome.

Congrats!! Great to hear you were able to obtain the score that you wanted. Were there any specific strategies that you think helped you move from 700 to 750?
