√576800 is between

(A) 300 and 400
(B) 400 and 500
(C) 500 and 600
(D) 600 and 700
(E) 700 and 800

To find square root, arrange the numbers in pairs from right side
1) If you get a single digit on left, the square root would start from square of that number or the perfect square just smaller to that.... Example.. 5,76,89..... Here it will start with √5 ~√4=2 and add one zero for each pair so it will be greater than 200
2) if you get a pair of digit , same process but with that pair
Example 576800....57,68,00
Perfect square <57 is 49 do √59=7
Add 2 zeroes for 2 pair of digits after 57..
So >700 and <800

Since there are 2 zeros at the end, we can write \(\sqrt{576800} = \sqrt{5768 \space * \space 100} = 10\sqrt{5768}\)

The closest squares to 5768 are 4900 and 6400

\(10\sqrt{4900} = 10\sqrt{70 * 70} = 10 * 70 = 700\) and

\(10\sqrt{6400} = 10\sqrt{80 * 80} = 10 * 80 = 800\)

Therefore the square root of 576800 lies between 700 and 800.

Option E

(B) 400 and 500
(C) 500 and 600
(D) 600 and 700
