My answer is (D).
(A) I could not make sense of this sentence, particularly "Closely interrelated concepts". As a modifier, it basically says "a change in macroeconomic policy" is "Closely interrelated concepts", an assertion that is nonsensical.
(B) The use / location of "numerously"， "typically", and "closely" are awkward at best.
(C) It reads fine, but "the focus of macroeconomic studies as a closely related concept" requires some creative interpretation. For me, "the focus" is not "a concept".
(E) "since the concepts of macroeconomics and microeconomics are closely related, any economics curriculum requires considerable study of both macroeconomic and microeconomic concepts." Repetitive use of "the concepts of macroeconomics and microeconomics" / "both macroeconomic and microeconomic concepts" sounds redundancy alarm.
