I am thinking about applying to business schools this fall (through Consortium), but I have one concern.
I was looking at both the Consortium and MLT websites (am URM, AA male) and was curious if one can apply to both. If so, does it make sense to do that? I was thinking one could be accepted into MLT Prep and then submit their application(s) through the Consortium. If this is the case, then I will wait til next year to apply since MLT deadlines have passed. If this is not the case, then is one better than the other? Reviews I've seen about the two seem to lean more favorably towards MLT Prep. Just looking for feedback and if anyone was in a similar situation as me. Want to make sure I am utilizing the resources out there, especially for URMs.
Thanks in advance,

Your question "I was thinking one could be accepted into MLT Prep and then submit their application(s) through the Consortium. If this is the case, then I will wait til next year to apply since MLT deadlines have passed." is exactly in line with the intent of the two programs.
MLT is essentially a discounted admissions consultant program to help you with apps and also network with other URM applicants. Consortium is a medium in which you will then apply to member schools at a discounted application cost and semi-common app; this also opens the opportunity to receive a fellowship that is reserved for applicants who apply through the organization.
You can actually use your experience as an MLT fellow to show your commitment to Consortium's mission in their application too!
They're two different things and serve two different purposes, imo. MLT Prep will help you get into the Consortium and into a school. It's not a requirement, but if you can do it I will.
You may not have to wait until next year because of the MLT deadline. MLT also has an accelerated program, and the app is due in April: https://mlt.org/mba-prep-accelerated/
I personally did not do MLT but if I had known about it earlier, I would have done MLT + Consortium.
Thank you for the inputs MfgEngrinTech, MBAerH0, and omegachild.
To omegachild's comment, I looked at the accelerated program but my GPA does not meet their requirement.
I think I will apply to MLT MBA Prep this summer. Gives me some more time to sit for the GMAT and research schools that I believe are a good fit for me. Plus my work experience (imo) is currently on the lower end (~ 2 years).
