Dear all,

I just wanted to share my experience with the GMAT online exam with you and give some background on how I improved by 110 points in just 4 weeks (while working full-time).

I started preparing at the beginning of May and spent 1-2 days getting to know the exam and speaking to people who have taken it. Everybody emphasized me to take a practice Test without prep in order to see where I stand. I scored a 580 with solid verbal results and not so solid quant results.
In the coming Four weeks i spent most of my time doing 5 practice exams and 160 quant practice questions. After all, that’s all I did in terms of preparation. My practice exams were 580, 640, 670, 620 and 680 for the last one that I took 2 days prior to my actual online GMAT. I am working in investment banking and could only spend the weekend studying.

Overall, the online GMAT was just as expected in terms of difficulty for all sections but I had technical issues at the beginning which caused a delay of 30 mins. Final results were 49 percentile for quant, 90 percentile for verbal and 82 percentile for IR. I have a background in computer science and am not a native speaker (German).

Congratulations mdippe01 on 690 and great Verbal percentile.

Good luck for your applications and journey ahead! :)
