GMAT vs GRE for MiM - Urgent

I know this is a gmat only forum but I was hoping if someone has any experience and advice they could share with me.

The target score for both tests can be achieved. Since you are looking for an easier option I would say it would be GRE.

I have faced similar dilemma.So, I guess I would be able to shed some light onto it.
Given your quant score, try prepping again and see if you can get 165+.
If you can improve verbal by at least 3 points that shall be fine. you would be looking at 320+.I think it's reachable in a month's time.
On the other hand,gmat quant is bit tougher thsan gre. So, it would take comparatively more time to improve .

In a prior post (here: https://gmatclub.com/forum/manhattan-pr ... 28809.html), you describe that your initial GMAT Score is in the 600s (possibly 600 exactly) - and that is a strong initial CAT score (the average score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). With this post though, it sounds as though you are considering the GRE - which would require some changes in your study routine and timeline.

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you're planning to limit your studies to just 2 months, then there might be a limit to how much you can improve. In addition, from what you describe, your immediate study plan is 'book heavy'; unfortunately, many Test Takers who study in that way end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level. Even the best books are limited in what they can teach you; they also can't force you to approach questions in a certain way and their explanations are often one-sided. There's no harm in starting off your studies in that fashion (and you would be fine with either set of those MGMAT books), but you'll likely end up needing to invest in some additional, non-book resources at some point.

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What were your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for your 600.
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
3) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

Thanks for your input Rich! I have better clarity now and have decided to go ahead with gmat. My scores were Q40 V35. Currently, I’m starting off with books for the basics, and I’ll watch videos for different topics (gmatclub has been great in finding resources), but I might get a tutor later if my score hits a ceiling. To answer your questions, I’m not sure about the MiM schools (I’ll see depending on my gmat score), I’ll be applying for fall 2021, and I can study about 6+ hour per day, 6 days a week. Thanks for your constant inputs on this forum.
