I had sent a follow up email to Perrine, my point of contact for the MIM admissions. She mentioned that for our application round, the interview invites will be rolled out by Mid-March.

Hey. I also got an interview invite today by email. I submitted my application on Feb 16 and did Kira on Feb 19.

Not me. I guess I’m rejected at this point. I had submitted my app on 5th Feb, and people here are hearing back within 2 weeks of submitting their apps lol. Guess I’ll have to accept my Georgetown offer

Hi. I had my interview last week, and here’s how it went.
It was honestly very chill, and like many people said before, very conversational. I really felt that the interviewer was on my side, willing to repeat or rephrase or walk me through some questions I didn’t quite understand the first time.
The questions were mostly quite standard, with an introduction of myself and my profile, why I want do to a masters now, why INSEAD, why business studies. Also the classic 3 strong points and 3 weak points. I talked about my motivations, and there were also some questions about the sort of student I’d be. These were questions like « how do you work in a group », « how would you deal with something you don’t understand in class? Would you ask teachers a lot of questions or try to figure it out with classmates? ». The interviewer also asked about my extracurricular and how I’d tie those in with my time at INSEAD.
There was no right or wrong answer, and they often pointed that out.
The interviewer was also very willing to answer my questions about INSEAD and life as a student there.

Here are my thoughts on the INSEAD MiM Interview Experience:

Most important questions that come to mind:

- Tell me about yourself
- Why INSEAD specifically
- Why a MiM (especially since I already have a Business undergraduate degree)
- Why a MiM right now? (Since I already have a return offer from a prestigious firm)
- What do you want to do after your MiM? Why?

Honestly, these are all pretty generic questions. If you know the answer to these and have a few stories prepared for common topics like Conflict, Leadership, Ambiguity, Teamwork, Failure, Weaknesses, you should be good. Think on the fly and adapt your stories to the question. Sometimes you'll just have to give genuine answers that you have come up with on the spot.

For what it's worth, the interviewer was more 'serious' and specific than my LBS interview. I wouldn't say he was mean, but he was definitely more serious/professional. Felt more like a job interview. This might just be due to the difference in age (INSEAD MBA alumni vs LBS recent MiM alumni).

E.g. I was asked 3 oddly specific follow-up questions to a leadership story I told. (How did the conversation with that teammate go? Did you call them on the phone? Did you text or call first?). That was a bit weird, lol.

Nothing yet for me. In past rounds it was generally exactly a week before the announced date, so I’d expect something on Wednesday / the end of this week.
