Please suggest/advice about where to go and what to do, in order to achieve my goal.
Hi Abhineet, you really need to give us some more information here.

1) How much did you score earlier and the split
2) How did you prepare
3) What were you mock test scores
4) What are your specific areas of weakness
5) What is your target score

Hi Abhineetegi,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day did not go as well as planned. When these types of score drops occur, the two likely "causes" involve either something that was unrealistic during practice or something that was surprising (or not accounted for) on Test Day. Before we discuss any of those potential issues though, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) What Schools are you planning to apply to and what application deadlines are you facing?

If you took your GMAT at a Test Center, then you might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

Guys,
After failing badly in my first GMAT attempt, I have gathered the courage to re-take the exam in dec last week.
I am still unable to find the right guide who can take me in the right direction.
I aim to score 700+ to get into my dream B-school.
Please suggest/advise about where to go and what to do, in order to achieve my goal.

Hoping for some good inputs from the experts here.

Thanks,

You can contact gmatbusters he is very good for quant and can help you get a high score.

<i started my prep in mid-july, I used to give 2-3 hrs on an average, daily>

2) What study materials have you used so far?
<I stick to OGs and questions on gmatclub>

3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
8th sept - Veritas1: 570
16 sept Veritas 2: 590
20 sept - Experts Global 1: 570
27 sept Experts global 2: 590
4th oct Experts global 3: 640
14th oct - Official mock 1: 590
22nd oct - Official mock 2: 600
4) What Schools are you planning to apply to and what application deadlines are you facing?
<Planning to apply IIMs/ISB>

The Quant aside, the Verbal may require some fundamental work to improve. Consider reading articles from The Economist and going through the gmatclub verbal guide. There are also the videos Thursdays with Ron and those from Gmatninja.

Hi Abhineet,

I'm happy to provide some advice. However, first I would like to learn more about your situation with the GMAT. Once you respond to the questions already asked, I can provide some more specific advice. In the meantime, here is a helpful article:
