Hey everyone,
I've hired an MBA consultant from one of the big named consulting firms, specifically because I have a really hard time with personal reflection and essay writing. It's getting close to the R1 deadlines and I basically don't have usable drafts. I wrote a few drafts but basically got vague feedback that they needed to be entirely re-written to be more specific, compelling, etc...but I don't have the writing skills or knowledge of HOW to do that, and they consultant isn't really helping in actionable ways for me, kind of just telling me to "re-write like XYZ" which I don't know how to do. I needed more direct coaching, time spent reflecting on my stories and how to tie them together, and very specific actionable guidance through the writing process and didn't realize that I wouldn't be getting that support from the consultant. And yes, I have spent the time trying to do this myself which has resulted in churning out the more mediocre, not compelling essays I am capable of, and my brain has basically turned to scrambled eggs at this point so I'm not sure how to take them to the next level alone.
Basically am close to deadlines and kind of freaking out about how get the essays done. All of the other components of my application are pretty much in place and I have very strong quant stats (all above average for schools I am applying to, which are M7) and diverse work background across various roles (consulting, non-profit, impact investing), and good community experience that would make me a fit for the schools I am applying to. I am just freaking out about the blank pages I have right now for my essays! Would really really like to not push to Rd 2.
Anyone have advice on where I can get this support so last minute? Signed up for
