Two high-speed printers are printing 140 annual reports of 81 pages each. Printer A prints at a rate that is 25% faster than Printer B's rate, and it takes 3 hours for both printers working together to complete the job.

Identify the per-minute page rate at which each printer prints.

Let A and B be the rates of the printers. 
A = 1.25B

140 reports, 81 pages each = 11,340 pages.

Working together, A and B can complete in 3 hours: 
A + B = 11,340/3 
1.25B + B = 3,780
2.25B = 3,780
B = 1,680 pages / hour 
A = 1,680 * 1.25 = 2,100 pages / hour

Per minute rate of A = 2,100 / 60 = 35 pages /minute
Per minute rate of B = 28 pages / minute

Let Printer B's speed be x pages per minute. So, printer A's speed is 1.25x.

Given that the total job = 140*81 pages
Total time taken = 3*60 minutes

180 (x + 1.25x) = 140*81
2.25x =  \frac{140*81}{180}

x =  \frac{140*81}{180*2.25}

x = 28.

So, printer A's speed = 1.25x = 35

Printer A's Speed = 35
Printer B's Speed = 28

Shorter answer: Let B's speed = x pgs/ minute. So, A"s speed = 1.25x pgs/ minute. 
So, In 3 hrs, B will print x*3*60 pages; and A will print 1.25x*3*60 pages {we multiply by 60 to convert 3 hrs into minutes}. 
Now, if we add the above 2, it will give total pages printed, which we will equate to the total no. of pages given in the question {i.e., no. of reports (140) * pages per report(81)}.
Solving, we get, x=28 (for B). And for A, 1.25*28=35. Ans.
