hello everyone.
i really needed some help regarding my chances of getting accepted in good business school. for now im planning to apply for HEC , ESSEC ,INSEAD ,and ESCP but since im from a medical background my gmat score in practice test is near 550 and im not very good at quant
i'm taking the test on 26 january 2022
so my question is 'are my expectations too high ?? '
'does being a medical field student give me any advantage of getting selected in such schhols with less score ??'
and 'what would be my chances of getting into any of these ??'

Hello rajvipandya,
Your expectations are not too high and are achievable.
Being from a medical background does not limit your chances of getting into B-schools. Moreover, they make you a unique applicant, and that’s precisely what admission’s committees look for in an applicant. However, you will have to mention why you want to enter a business field explicitly.
Your unique journey from a medical field into a business field is interesting, and you should mention that in your SOP and Essays, but the journey is not enough to get you admitted.
Right now, your GMAT scores are not very good.
To get admitted into HEC, ESSEC, INSEAD or ESCP, you need a minimum GMAT score of 690 but aim to score 700+.
My advice to you would be instead of giving your GMAT on 26th January, give it a bit later in February or March just before round 3 deadlines. That will make sure you have a higher chance of scoring better.
Till then, practice as much as you can through mock tests or GMAT classes.

Hey, you don't need 690 for ESCP. A 650 with a 2.1 is sufficient. HEC and ESSEC are harder to get in (and better). Good luck!
