distinct positive factors. The correct answer is A so I assume this is asking for prime factors.

Prime factorisation of 484 is 2^2 * 11^2

Prime factorisation of 124 is 2^2 * 31

If we multiply these together, we get

2^2 * 11^2 * 2^2 * 31

So, in terms of DISTINCT factors we have 2, 11, and 31.

Answer is A.

I also got the answer as E. Imo, had it mentioned distinct prime factors it would've been A. But since it only mentions distinct positive factors, I think (11 x 11), (31 x 2), etc. are as much a factor of the product as 2,11,31.
Can someone clarify exactly where I am going wrong?

This makes sense.
