That’s strage. So let me get it straight: i) Earlier, ISB did not even consider you worthy of including you in the Admit list of R2 candidates. ii) Now, ISB wants you so much that it has offered you 33% scholarship to sweeten the deal! Will someone care to explain this logic to me? Obviously I am missing something. p.s. I am very happy for you anwesharath. I just want to understand ISB’s logic in this.
And they sure are flush with cash 💰💰

Its demand and supply game, if they have other great profile, they will chose them over you but, if you are better and they feel they now need you since they don’t have such profile, they will try their best to make sure you join.

Its simple business.
By this logic, it is better to get waitlisted in R2, than get a confirmed admit in R2, because many confirmed candidates in R2 (who obviously had a better profile than this person) got an admit without any scholarship, while this person got almost 15 lakh scholarship.

So essentially, profiles better than this person are not getting scholarships, while this person does.

Is this how ISB wants things to work?

You can not control how to get waitlisted or admit and not all waitlisted got the scholarship

I am not saying/suggesting that. I am just saying that clearly this is not how ISB had intended things to pan out.

The only purpose of scholarships is to make the school a more preferred choice for the candidate.

By not offering scholarship to a better candidate in R2, ISB is basically deciding to not make ISB the preferred choice for a better candidate. In fact, by offering scholarship to a waitlisted candidate, ISB is making itself a preferred choice for a less worthy candidate (over a more deserving one).

Again, I have nothing against this candidate, but clearly this system is flawed.

Still doesn’t make sense to  at all.
Buddy, I believe you’re mistaken in assuming that the admitted profile is superior to the waitlisted profile. ISB has quotas for each diversity category (such as industry, profile, gender, etc etc), and they allocate limited seats to each category & diversity. For instance, they may not accept all IT-based profiles, even if they are strong. Therefore, it’s possible that this individual had something unique in their profile that led to them receiving a scholarship

I saw some consultant posting that 18 candidates who worked with him in Round 3 were interviewed and 16 of them (13 admitted, 3 rejected) got a revert. From that subset, I believe that we can infer that most of the R3 candidates have received a revert.
Can you tell me the name of the consultant? Would like to connect with them for next year admit as I dont see getting an admit this year

I am quite hopeful there will be another admit list sometime around 15th March. Good luck! -- Ashish.
Hi @ISBeacon basis the results you may have seen with your students - can you share if you feel the March10th PGP R-3 results contained majority of the admits? Or do you feel only handful of admits were rolled out then & you are expecting majority of the admits to happen on the 15th March?

Also - anyone who interviewed from Delhi who got an admit in PGP Round 3?

We believe that very decent number of candidates should get the good news on March 15th.

Good luck!
