See i can vouch for myself that the only lagging factor in my application is the gmat score. My interview went extremely well but was really skeptical abt the admit due to low gmat score. And Murphy law worked here. So instead of worrying about these things like ctc , international immersion etc its better to work upon the lagging factor. I can analyse so many things only when I would be having multiple factors. Yes, a healthy research is always benefitting but dont waste time on discussing on this trivial issues.

Well, all we can do is just wait till 10th Nov.

Hope it helps for people out there waiting for their admit - After the interview process, I asked the SPJIMR faculty about the recommended GMAT Score and they said that 600+ is recommended

So, don't lose hopes if you have anything over 600, you never know what luck has in store for you.

Furthermore, I've connected with numerous PGPM alumni on LinkedIn, they all said that more than your GMAT, it's your work ex and the interview that matters and that one can make it with a 600 score as well.

sss123Golu get a life man. You have 50 posts on Gmatclub. All on this thread. Don't think there's anybody as desperate to get in as you are. I know it hurts if you aren't able to make it but doesn't mean you start bad -mouthing the institute. And for others, I think final offers might still not be out. So would suggest to wait for 3-4 days more. Not saying this for our star champ here (ignoring people on LinkedIn). He is Harvard material. He shouldn't even bother even if he gets an admit.

I've been contemplating the difference in average/median/ highest package gaps between SPJIMR PGPM and PGDM program, even though PGPM students typically possess more work experience.
Is this difference primarily due to the fact that PGPM graduates prioritise their work profiles over the package they receive, or could it be attributed to the fact that it is relatively new program and yet to gain popularity amongst the employers?

Kriti018, I don’t think anyone would go for a lower package by choice. There are freshers with zero experience in the 2 year PGDM who might have a higher average package than people with 5 years of experience in the PGPM program. The 2 year PGDM has much more applicants.

Also we might have most probably heard about SPJIMR seeing it in the top MBA rankings which is mostly for their 2 year MBA.

Seeing the placement statistics the 2 year PGDM has way higher numbers than the one year PGPM for sure and not just the numbers are better.... The companies that come to campus are better too. I don’t know the reason for this.

Reason is latter. Executive MBA is relatively new for Indian market and yet not gained the required repute and acknowledgement amongst Indian organizations.
The difference is due to non availabilities of certain roles for 1 year students. Example fmcg's don't actively hire for executive mba. Only exception is isb and iim a, b, c. I think currently no other college in India has same set of companies and roles available to them.
But the difference is narrowing and hopefully in coming time things may change.

How is the SPJIMR GMP Program?

I would not say very good, maybe decent. Note, if your aim is to just work abroad then its good. But the global colleges linked with this program are not top ranked colleges. And considering the global market being on downside these days and hefty fees of these colleges, it may have some risk factor associated with it for now. I would not recommend to someone with good profile and good gmat score to go ahead with this program. Instead if you are looking for global exposure you can give gmat and aim for top 100 colleges across the world, that would be a better option.

Which IIMs would you guys recommend for 1 year MBA?

I feel like IIM A,B,C are beyond my league because of my past academic record

10th - 79.8%, 12th - 78.2% and UG - 69.3%
Even though I have 7 years experience in real estate/infrastructure, my academic record might hamper my chances at A,B,C
