Reasons could be many, though I am not sure. a. They are in same building so maybe it was easy for them to get interview scheduled. b. They got really good batch of students. I found many iitians in their first batch. c. Legacy institutes don’t try to promote 1 year mba like they do for 2 year mba. Even 2 year students don’t consider 1 year students as their alumini (harsh but true). For legacy institutes their 2 year program is priority and maybe these firms are more held up to hire those fellas. d. And maybe there is something really unique about masters union that I am unaware of.
mechabhi2692 well the institutes clearly consider one year MBA students as their alumnus so it doesn’t matter what the two years MBA students think.
Also the two years MBA in India is actually considered as MIM in spite of them calling it an MBA as you can easily see on the internet that they’re all accredited as MIMs by the international bodies they’re affiliated to.
The one year MBA is actually considered as a proper MBA. So it’s an irony that two years MBA students don’t consider one year MBA students as their alumni.
Lastly one year MBA students bring twice as much revenue per year to them on per student basis
