Good fair question however is it a 750+ question?
all the wrong options are clearly irrelevant.

yes of course

95% of the premature births are from women who do not have bifid uterus.
although having a bifid uterus increases chances of premature birth as 65% of them have it.
the only explanation is women with such a condition are not common. if they would have been common their percentage would be so much higher in the total premature births with a 65% chance of such births.

65% of women with a bifid uterus, a uterus which is divided into two lateral horns as a result of imperfect fusion of the paramesonephric ducts, give birth prematurely. However, 95% of prematurely born infants are born to mothers whose uterus is not bifid.

The statements above, if true, best support which of the following as a conclusion?

(A) 15% of women with a bifid uterus end up losing the fetus.

(B) Some causes of premature birth reside in factors other than the physiology of the birth mother

(C) A bifid uterus is not necessarily hereditary.

(D) The birth weight of premature infants whose mothers have a bifid uterus is lower than that of premature infants whose mothers do not have a bifid uterus.

(E) A bifid uterus is an uncommon condition among women.

Premise: 65% women with a certain medical condition give birth prematurely
Evidence: 95% of women who give birth prematurely do not have the above condition

Question type: Conclusion

Analysis: Total premature births = 100
...95% are without condition = 95
...that is 5% are with condition = 5
...these 5 represent 65% of premature births to women with certain condition
Conclusion: Rare cases, very few in number

We need to find an answer which gives us a rare case response.

A. This option gives us consequence of 65% women. 15% doesn't make sense as 100-65 = 35% without premature births or death, seems arbitrary to allocate 15% to deaths without knowing normal birth share. Incorrect.

B. Some and other causes of premature birth are not sequential statement that can follow Premise and evidence given. Incorrect.

C. What kind of condition is given. This is not relevant. Incorrect.

D. Weight of babies from two different categories is given. This cannot be the sequential statement that can follow Premise and evidence given. Incorrect.

E. Uncommon condition refers to rare cases. So this is indeed the correct answer.

Therefore, option E is the correct answer.

OFFICIAL EXPLANATION

65% of women with a bifid uterus, a uterus which is divided into two lateral horns as a result of imperfect fusion of the paramesonephric ducts, give birth prematurely. However, 95% of prematurely born infants are born to mothers whose uterus is not bifid.

The statements above, if true, best support which of the following as a conclusion?

(A) 15% of women with a bifid uterus end up losing the fetus.

Incorrect.

This is an Inference question, so the argument is comprised of premises only, on which basis you are asked to draw a conclusion:

Premise A: most women with a bifid uterus give birth prematurely
    +
Premise B: 95% of premature births are not of women with a bifid uterus.
    =
    Conclusion: ?

This answer choice is not supported by the premises, since, as harsh as it may seem, whether the infant lives or dies is outside the scope of this argument. Focus on the information provided by the premises.

(B) Some causes of premature birth reside in factors other than the physiology of the birth mother

Incorrect.

While this answer choice describes a generalization that might be true, it is not supported by any of the information given in the premises. Although the premises tell us that 95% of births are not from women with a bifid uterus, we do not have information as to what are the causes for the other 5% - whether those are physiological or not. Other aspects of the physiology of birth mothers might conceivably be responsible for all the other premature births - we simply do not know form the argument alone.

(C) A bifid uterus is not necessarily hereditary.

Incorrect.

This statement is not supported by any of the information in the premises.

(D) The birth weight of premature infants whose mothers have a bifid uterus is lower than that of premature infants whose mothers do not have a bifid uterus.

Incorrect.

The data in this answer choice is outside the scope of the argument. Neither one of the premises mentions the factor of birth weight.

(E) A bifid uterus is an uncommon condition among women.

The argument's premises tell us that only 5% or less of premature births are from women with a bifid uterus, and this would constitute a much smaller number out of all births (both premature and non-premature). We can therefore infer that this condition is rare (only a very small number of women have it).

If the condition were common, we could expect to see many more premature births caused by it, because we know 65% with this condition give birth prematurely (premise 1).
