Which of the following can be inferred from this study?

A) Participating in extracurricular activities directly causes higher grades.
B) All students who participate in extracurricular activities will have higher grades.

From the study, we can infer the following:

C) There is a correlation between participating in extracurricular activities and academic performance.

The study found that students who engaged in extracurricular activities had higher grades compared to those who did not. However, this correlation does not necessarily imply causation. Other factors could also contribute to academic performance, and it's essential to consider these variables before making any direct causal claims.

The other options are not necessarily supported by the study:

- A) Participating in extracurricular activities directly causes higher grades: The study does not establish a direct cause-and-effect relationship.
- B) All students who participate in extracurricular activities will have higher grades: The study does not guarantee this outcome for all students.
- D) Students who do not participate in extracurricular activities will have lower grades: The study does not make this specific claim.
- E) Extracurricular activities are the only factor influencing students' academic performance: The study does not exclude other factors that may impact academic performance.

A recent study found that students who participated in extracurricular activities had higher grades than those who did not.

Which of the following can be inferred from this study?

A) Participating in extracurricular activities directly causes higher grades.
( The passage never mentioned that participating in extracurricular activities directly gave high grades. Its EXTREME option. )

B) All students who participate in extracurricular activities will have higher grades.
(Passage didn't talk about all the students participating in activities will definitely have high grades. It didn't talk about definite/exact situation. Its EXTREME again.)

C) There is a correlation between participating in extracurricular activities and academic performance.
(The passage talks about the relation between participation and academic performance, this matches with our inference.)

D) Students who do not participate in extracurricular activities will have lower grades.
(This talks about in a negative sense, passage didn't talk about if the student who do not participate will not get high grades. This is EXTREME)

E) Extracurricular activities are the only factor influencing students' academic performance.
(Passage didn't talk that activities are the only way to achieve good grades. This is EXTERME again.)
