1. How to read the sentence
"In Nation X, a randomly selected [SIZE] enterprise is about [X]% more likely to engage in Activity B than to engage in Activity A."
A strong test taker immediately notices two blanks:
Blank 1 = Which size category?
Blank 2 = By what percent?
The key phrase is "X% more likely ... B than ... A."
That means:
Percent more likely = (B - A) / A x 100
The comparison base is A because we are comparing B TO A.
2. How a 750-level test taker approaches the graph
Do NOT start calculating for every bar.
Instead, work backward from the wording and/or answer choices.
For each size, mentally compare Activity B with Activity A:
Large: A = 80%, B = 85% -> B is slightly higher.
Medium: A = 70%, B = 60% -> B is lower, so cannot be "more likely."
Small: A = 50%, B = 45% -> B is lower, so cannot be "more likely."
Immediately eliminate Medium and Small.
Therefore:
Blank 1 = Large
Only now calculate.
3. Fast calculation
For Large:
A = 80%
B = 85%
Difference = 5 percentage points.
But the question asks "% more likely," so calculate the difference relative to the original/base value:
5 / 80 x 100 = 6.25%
Approximately 6.3%.
Answer: Large, 6.3%.
4. The biggest transferable learning
Always distinguish these two:
"How many percentage points more?"
85% - 80% = 5 percentage points.
"What percent more?"
(85 - 80) / 80 x 100 = 6.25%.
This distinction appears constantly in graph and table questions.

Why is the second part of the question not 84-80, which yields 50%. if it was 85-80 then i can understand its about 6.3.
As I am interpreting from the graph, for B, large industries, the gradients are 4 units apart.
