You don’t need to send the score via mba.com at the time of application.

But once you get shortlisted for an interview, IIMA will ask you send the score via mba.com.

I think it is mandatory to send your scores from MBA.com. when school does its own verification, they should be able to see your scores in the official website

I understand the resume is to be shared later. But the form also has space to mention about responsibilities and accomplishments.

Isn't a major chunk of information going to be repeated at these two places? Or am I missing something and they are looking for something specific in the form?

You need to list down your major accomplishments and responsibilities, and have the bandwidth to describe them in a character limit that is allowed. Your CV may contain the same, but it has to be made in a coherent chronological order and everything you write has to be in one page . Let me know if you need any help (I’m From PGPX 2021-22)
